Rear Shocks and Springs

Motivation

After rebuilding the front suspension, it made sense to address the rear too. My 35-year-old air shocks had given up – no longer holding air or providing comfort. I’d installed them in high school along with taller springs to clear rubbing wheels and tires, but with my recent switch to narrower tires, that clearance issue was gone and I wanted to drop the rear back down. I picked up high-quality adjustable shocks from QA1 and paired them with stock-style springs. While coilovers were tempting, I didn’t want the extra work or need for adjustable ride height. The swap was straightforward, and the results are excellent – the car sits better, rides smoother, and has the proper stance I was after. Sometimes the simplest approach delivers exactly what you need.
