Turn Signal Indicator Lens
While replacing the dash harness, it felt like the perfect opportunity to pop out the gauge cluster and finally fix the cracked green turn signal indicator lens. I had tried to replace it years ago without removing the cluster, and while that attempt was better than nothing, the results weren’t exactly ideal.
The hardest part turned out to be sourcing—or more accurately, creating—a suitable lens. I bought a replacement, but once installed, it was nearly transparent (see pic below), which made the bulb completely visible and ruined the original look. After doing some research and talking with a few others who’d run into the same problem, the consensus was clear: if you want it to look right, you have to make your own.
In the end, I used a green plastic binder from Staples, cut to the same size as the original round lens. It diffused the light perfectly and looks just like it should.

Gauges
I disassembled the entire gauge cluster and carefully cleaned each component. I even managed to get the clock working—briefly! I also repainted the bright orange speedometer and gauge needle arms, giving them a fresh, factory-new look.
