Northwest Muscle Car Meet

August 16, 2025 – Bothell, WA

Hosted by the Northwest GTO Legends club, this show was heavy on Pontiacs, especially GTOs and Firebirds. I’ve never seen so many GTOs gathered in one spot and it was fun to talk with the owners, especially those that had 64s. I even left with an award, 1st Place in the Pontiac Other group. 🙂

This was a fantastic show, nearly 400 cars! Located just 5-10 mins from my house, I was really surprised at the turnout of both cars and spectators.

Snohomish Car Show 2024

I had been looking forward to taking my 1964 Pontiac Tempest Custom to the annual Snohomish car show, held just five minutes from my house. It’s a fantastic event, and the convenience of having it so close made it even more appealing.

Since the car had been sitting for 30 years, I knew it would take some time—and a few repairs—before I’d feel comfortable driving it long distances. My only real concern? The weather. The show is held on the last Sunday in September, which can be a gamble in the Pacific Northwest. Fortunately, the car gods were on my side, and the day turned out to be beautiful and sunny!

As luck would have it, another 1964 Pontiac Tempest Custom parked right next to me. It was great swapping stories and comparing notes with a fellow owner. I secretly hoped to take home an award (my car was looking great!), but I made a rookie mistake—I entered the wrong category. Lesson learned. Next year, I’ll be ready!
