Many/most of the exterior lights failed to illuminate. This wasn’t due to bad bulbs, but corroded sockets.
I was able to clean some of the sockets by soaking them in vinegar and using a wire brush to remove the heavy corrosion. Other sockets had to be replaced fully OR the little plunger (not sure what it’s called) could simply be replaced. I found sockets at the local car parts stores and took the plungers out of them and put them into the old sockets. Saw this approach on YouTube. Worked great!
While I was working on the lights, I replaced ALL of the exterior lights (other than the headlights $$$) with LEDs. I had to try a few different bulbs to get the best/brightest ones. It was important to get LEDs that match the color or the lens they are behind to maximize brightness and richness.
